Color of God - Part 01

The English translation for the movie is set to be "Color of Paradise" but the actual translation, word by word is "Color of God". The opening scene creates a mysterious environment, challenges the audience to a series of questions. What are these tapes, who is the the man calling on to the kids, and the fact that we are simply watching a black screen, which in a way, I believe, is portraying how it feels to be blind, how is the world seen through the eyes of our main character (Mohammad) where everything is pitch black the voices, sounds and noises are clear and descriptive. The sound of tape player can exactly clue us to know when the play, stop and eject buttons are being pressed. Again back to the very beginning the story of the movie is explained in a nut shell, in the very first line of the movie "You are both seen and unseen" referring to god, the fact that as human beings you can never see god but you can feel it's presence anywhere, you just need to have the right set of eyes to do that.
Usually as normal people we are not aware of our environment and senses, we are in a way slaves of the materialistic world, but to someone that is blind the world has meanings, the birds don't just sing they speak, letters are written on the sands and rocks, trees spell out different words, ironic that one might need to be blind to come to their senses and appreciate very little that they can feel.

At last I would like to come back to the sound again, which plays as a key element in this movie, slowly as the movie progresses we see what our character (Mohammad) is interested in, the sound of birds, the woodpeckers for example challenge him to distinguish from the sound, what letters are being said, and we are given a clue in part one of how similar the sound of writing and woodpeckers are...
over all part one, really pushes the audience to ask a series of questions that will put us in the right track, aware of what is happening in the movie....

any who, enough said enjoy!
